Hey Star, just let me know when you will be around. I am tied up during the week, but weekends are much more flexible. How long will you be on the east coast? Its been a long time, we should get togther at least for a day if we can get it worked out. I doubt I will be able to make it to Alaska anytime soon.
Have you guys considered Busch Gardens at all? There's also a new waterpark there, it is quite worth the trip. Kings Dominion has gotten quite ghetto in the last 10 years. Busch Gardens is more family oriented. There's also a Six Flags in northern Virginia now, up where the Redskins play.

Of course I've considered Busch Gardens, but it is a 2 hour drive each way. Kings Dominion is 30 minutes each way..so after a long day at an amusement park KD just sounds so much more appealing with the short ride back to the house. The boys won't notice it being ghetto..the only amusement park they get in Kodiak is the Crab Festival every May, the weather during the festival week is always rainy, wet, foggy and cold..we go in full rain gear and it's only got about 7 carnival style rides. So ghetto or not they will be in seventh heaven with Kings Dominion. Thanks for looking out for me tho...I do have a reason for my insanity tho. LOL Shane, Niki and her hubby are coming up for it as well..so a mini family reunion.
Anytime after the 16th is good for me. I was going to disappear for four days with no kids and go to New Orleans with a bunch of people I hang out with online, already bought my plane ticket down..but i've been having second thoughts about it. Just too much energy involved at this point in the game. I may feel differantly as the planned date of July 20th arrives..but for now..I don't think I'm going.
I am returning to Alaska on August 1st if all goes well with my grandmother..she and my mom's dad are in a race to the grave it seems and both are having surgery this month, both with only a 30% chance of survival..so I may have to extend the trip for funeral purposes. We'll see. Aug 2nd is Allan's birthday, so I'm hoping to actually make it home on the 1st so we can celebrate his 40th! OMG we are officially on our way down the hill.
