Death defying antics...
One week ago today I was bitten by one of my Southern copperheads. A careless mistake that almost killed me. Unlike the other bites I have received over the last 25 years, I had an allergic reaction to this one: shallow breathing, spiking blood pressure, tachycardia, and a severe histamine reaction. I almost bought the farm this time, and the doctors said I was minutes away from death.
It didn't seem that bad at the time, but looking back on it - maybe it was. Either way, after being told that my next bite would be my last a decision was made (by me and for me) that the venomous snakes had to go. Saturday they were all taken away.
The end of an era I guess. I'll get more snakes, but I guess they'll have to be non-venomous. I'll send some pics of my foot when I get a chance.

OMG Alex! I am so thankful you are okay! Scary stuff!
I know you will miss your venomous babies, but you are right. It is time to get rid of them.
Don't be scaring me anymore!
Love ya Darlin!
